Dale Raymond Frones, 74, died September 5, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. 

He was born September 30, 1948, in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Raymond H. and Dorothy (Kendzora) Frones. 

Dale graduated from Denfeld High School, class of 1966. Following graduation, Dale worked as a lineman for Minnesota Power for forty years. During that time, he served in the Air National Guard for nine years, graduated from Fond du Lac College with honors, worked part time as a jailor for Carlton County and was a member of the Carlton County Mounted Posse for 10 years. 

Dale married Sally (Fenske) Frones and celebrated 52 years of marriage on their horse farm in Blackhoof Township. Dale will be greatly missed by many friends and family. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, is their daughter, Ashley Frones of Cloquet and sister, Barbara Cavanaugh of Eveleth.
