I was shocked to hear of Bud's passing. I didn't have many friends duriing my school years, but Bud was my best friend during elementary, junior, and high school. We were in the band together and we both enjoyed the marching band and pep band. He really enjoyed being the Drum Major for the marching band.
We both loved horses and we rode them together many times. I was a trail guide at a riding ranch in Gary-New Duluth for a while and he worked at a quarter horse ranch; he even thought about becoming a farrier.
We lost track of each other after graduation. We had similar paths - he went into the Marines, I went into the Air Force, we both finished our college degrees afterwards and we both wound up in the IT industry. I just wish we could have retained our friendship. He was a great guy and I'm sure he will be sadly missed by his loved ones. RIP, Bud.
