As we get closer Memorial Day, I’m thinking of my friend and classmate Mike McNamara. Mac tried to be everyone’s friend.  People just gravitated towards him.  We weren’t just Denfeld pals but, we were part of the first graduating class in Marketing and Management at the Duluth Institute of Technology, now 

Lake Superior College, in 1970.  Mike very successfully worked his way up through management at Glass Block/Younkers.  His drive, personality, kindness and willingness to get involved had lots to do with his achievements.

As our careers went in different directions, I’ve always remembered that Mac taught me that friendship is such an important part of life.
